New parts…

Testing new action parts for the Style-X. I’m using little bulldog clips to simulate the weight of the hammer, and playing around with the geometry of the action to find a setup that induces the least friction, and the most  movement from the hammer – whilst at the same time giving enough control and repetition without the feel of the action being too heavy…. All good fun!

Have you decided to use composite action parts for the Style X?

I have indeed! The old levers are very tired (not to mention soaked in beer in the treble….!), and the geometry of the action isn’t quite as I’d like, so I’m taking the opportunity to try some new parts from WNG.

Also, the “notches” (another version of “rollers”) are very worn, so replacing the shanks with the roller type makes sense.

  2. You are doing a great job… of making me understand nothing that you just wrote about 🙂 It looks very complicated though 🙂

Not in the least bit complicated….

I will explain in as much detail as you like when you’re here next SLS… 😉
